The cost to design and develop a top performing NASCAR stock car or Indy Racing Car can run into the millions. Luckily for the students of Windham Center School a LEGO Gravity car cost significantly less. Recently the NH LEGO League hosted the WIND-TONA 500 racing event for about 30 students at the school.
This afterschool program was designed to test the student's ability to create a stock LEGO wheeled racing car that was unique, creative, and very fast. The catch, they only had 45 minutes to build their cars before racing began.
Congratulations to all the students who participated in this fun day of racing. The kids showed just how talented they are by using not only creative design skills but some key engineering concepts to make the cars extremely fast.
